Arts Express Day
Years 6 - 8 Indian Arts Express Day is a great success! Thursday 9 October 2008
On October 6th 2008 years 6 – 8 participated in an Indian Themed Arts Express Day.
In the morning the gym was filled with a vast array of Indian clothes and colours. Mr Hitchings and Mr Chatten wore wonderful costumes which had been kindly lent by Mira Patel’s Mother. There were three workshops. The first was music in which we learnt how to play the Tabla Indian Drums. The second workshop was dance. We were shown a traditional Northern Indian Dance. The last workshop was Art. We drew Rangolis and decorated our Indian biscuits with colourful icing.
We met up at 3pm for a performance in front of the parents. Thank you, Miss Spink, Mrs McChrystal and Miss Behdad for organising such a wonderful day!
