On Tuesday 30th September, Years 3 and 4 went on an exciting trip to Drusillas. First of all we had to have a snack before Drusillas Park was open. When it became unlocked we saw some cute mice in a doll’s house. We strolled around the zoo for an hour or so looking at lots of animals. There was a very tiny one, it was very cute and white and ginger in colour! After that, we stroked a baby goat (then we washed our hands!), milked a pretend cow and looked at all the different habitats that each animal had. We had a packed lunch and after we had a little play and Miss Benwell and Mrs Kilpatrick went on the slide. It was very funny! After playing indoors because it was wet outside, we went to a small room to meet Zookeeper James. He showed us lots of animals like a snake called Needle, a beaver called Gnasher and we even got to stroke some of them like a cockroach and bearded dragon! Eventually it was coming to the end of the day and we went to the gift shop. I bought a bag and we went home to school on the mini bus after a lovely day at Drusillas Park.
