MATHEMATICS

Mixed ability classes are taught in Years 3 - 6, children are taught in sets in Year 7, with two streamed forms in Year 8 being taught by the Head of Department, Simon Chatten, with support from the Headmaster, Simon Hitchings. Both individual and in-class support is provided by the Learning Support Department and by classroom assistants.

The school subscribes to the internet-based Mathletics software, an individually tailored programme of resources for use in the ICT suite. Regular sessions will be based in the ICT suite for each year group.
