ICT DEPARTMENT
AIMS
We have excellent ICT facilities throughout the school. Each classroom has at least one pc with access to the network and Internet and many have Interactive White Boards as well. The main teaching suite comprises 21 pcs, again networked, with colour laser printing and scanning, Interactive White Board and digital camera and video equipment for full multi-media presentation.
Much emphasis is made of the quality of presentation of work – the ability to be able to communicate clearly and effectively is a skill in ever increasing demand and one the pupils will carry with them into the future.
The range of software in use is always expanding - many packages are specific to education whilst Microsoft Office - especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint - forms the core of general skills development. Our network is filtered to ensure safe internet content
All pupils receive dedicated ICT lessons, in addition to cross-curricular work involvement and each pupil has an e-mail account which can be used to send and receive work to and from teachers and home.
NEW!!! We are building a collection of quizzes made by the pupils in 5N. Multi Level games are by Year 6 pupils. Please try them out.
